Now this one is serious. Microsoft laid off some workers and gave them their severance pay. Apparently, there was a computer screw up somewhere along the way, and Microsoft ended up paying those employees (they did not identify how many of them) too much money on the severance. I actually feel bad for Microsoft. After all, the computer that made the screw-up was running Vista. Had they been running on the Mac OS, we would not be writing this blog post right now.
